Poppy fried rice / Riso fritto al papavero

Hello everyone!

This is a very fast and tasty recipe, I hope you’ll like it as I did!!!

Ingredients (for 2 or for 1 hungry person! 😉 ):

100 gr rice

1 piece of leek (about 10 cm)

1 carrot

3 savoy cabbage’s leaves

1 dried Cayenne pepper

Button mushrooms

Olives (I used italian “taggiasche” olives, so tasty!)

Semi-dried cherry tomatoes

Tamari sauce

Extra virgin olive oil

Poppy seeds

Method:

Cook rice separately, in 2 parts of unsalted water, letting rice to absorb all of it (keep the lid on). Then let rice stand covered, off the flame, for 5/10′ more to let it absorb the vapor.

Chop carrot and leek and shred cabbage.

Heat some oil in a pan and then stir-fry leek and carrot with some tamari sauce.

Add the cabbage and the Cayenne pepper (chopped into pieces), put the lid on and cook for some minute.

When the cabbage soften, add rice, mushrooms, olives and tomatoes. Sprinkle poppy seeds profusely on the rice. Pour some more oil and tamari to taste and stir-fry for some minute.

Questa è una ricetta molto veloce e saporita, spero vi piaccia quanto a me!!!

Ingredienti (per 2 porzioni o 1 abbondante! 😉 ):

Riso 100 gr

Porro un pezzo (circa 10 cm)

Carota 1

Cavolo verza 3 foglie

Peperoncino secco 1

Funghi champignon

Olive taggiasche

Pomodorini secchi

Salsa Tamari

Olio evo

Semi di papavero

Procedimento:

Cuocere a parte il riso, in due parti d’acqua non salata, facendola assorbire tutta. Poi lasciare a fiamma spenta, coperto, altri 5/10’ perché assorba il vapore.

Tagliare a pezzetti la carota ed il porro e fare a striscioline la verza.

Soffriggere porro e carota in padella con olio evo e salsa tamari.

Aggiungere la verza ed il peperoncino sminuzzato, coprire e far cuocere qualche minuto.

Quando la verza è morbida, aggiungere il riso, i funghi, le olive ed i pomodorini. Spolverare generosamente con semi di papavero. Spruzzare ulteriore olio e tamari e saltare in padella qualche minuto.
